Are animal-derived ingredients used in merci products?

We use milk products alongside plant-based ingredients in the production of our merci products. Additionally, egg white (from chicken eggs) is used in merci Finest Selection Crunchy Almond Variety.

Do merci products contain alcohol?

Alcohol is not an ingredient in merci chocolate. However, it may be present in some flavorings used in chocolate fillings, as certain flavors can only be extracted using alcohol. In such cases, minimal traces of alcohol may come into contact with the final product. The amount is very small—comparable to that found in natural fruit juices due to natural fermentation.

Are your products gluten free?

Most of our products meet the legal and the German Coeliac Society (DZG) standards for gluten-free food (maximum of 20mg gluten per kg food).
